While in high school, she wanted to change the way, she felt and started to become interested in nutrition. After doing extensive research, she started to eat better, work out, and share her passion for wellness.
While attending community college and working as a teller in a bank, Angie hit a turning point – nutrition was her passion and that passion is what she wanted to pursue as a career. After a search on what program aligned with her personal nutrition philosophy, she enrolled at Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics.

After Bastyr, Angie combined her passion for travel while working on her MSc in Nutrition and Exercise Science at Leeds Beckett University in the UK. Well known for their sports nutrition program, Leeds offered the opportunity to strengthen her research skills and experience nutrition with a multicultural lens.

Prior to joining Persona, Angie completed her Dietetic internship at West Virginia University Hospital System. Her clinical experience includes counseling patients of all ages on diet and exercise changes that can minimize the effects of chronic illnesses. She has also worked as a massage therapist and CrossFit coach.

Angie joined Persona in May of 2018 as our Director of Research and Nutrition and enjoys the variety of customers she encounters, as well as researching emerging science and developing our proprietary supplement blends. “Working at Persona is unlike any role I’ve had before. We are constantly evolving and it’s so rewarding to hear how the logic I’ve built for our supplements is helping our customers.” In her free time, Angie can be found outside with her dog Fred. She’s climbed Mount St. Helens and Mount Olympus and plans to summit Mount Rainer in 2019.
