Our Bariatric Multi was created using the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery's (ASMBS) nutrition guidelines for bariatric procedures. Our multi contains the active form of vitamins to ensure optimal absorption, such as methylated folate. We also use Calcium Citrate, the only recommended form of calcium for bariatric patients, and vitamin K2 for bone health.

Because the BPD/DS procedure bypasses so much of the small intestine, where vitamins and minerals are absorbed, the ASMBS recommends individuals who have had this procedure supplement with additional calcium and vitamin K.

Your body needs time to recover from your surgery. After you have your procedure, your doctor will most likely prescribe you liquid or dissolvable vitamins to take for the first few months. We want to ensure your body is fully recovered before starting a new supplement routine that includes capsules. Don't worry, we won't offer you enteric coated capsules or difficult-to-digest tablets.

Patients who have had bariatric surgery typically have higher iron needs, but they vary. Our multivitamin does not contain iron for that reason, and we will include a separate iron supplement in your packs if you need it.
